CALENDAR
The school year will run from the first day after Labor Day in September until the
Friday before Memorial Day. However, the school year may be extended through the second week of June if additional make-up days are needed.
TUITION
The school year will begin the first day after Labor Day in September and will end the Friday before Memorial Day weekend. A yearly tuition fee is divided evenly among nine months based on an average of four weeks per month. Therefore, the same monthly tuition is paid regardless of holiday school closings. As with all pre-school programs, you are responsible for the payment of the place for which you register regardless of the child's absence and/or holidays; make-up days/substations are not permitted.
Tuition is due no later than the 5th of each month. If paid 6-10th a $10 late fee is added; if paid the 11th or after, a $20 late fee is added.
MAKE-UP DAYS
Should I need to close school for personal reasons, the children may have a make-up day of the parent’s choosing. However, if the days involved are many, make-up days will be scheduled on Mondays or during the last week of May or during the first two weeks of June.
Should a parent choose not to participate in make-up days, tuition must still be paid in full. Monetary credit/refunds will not be given.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
In case of inclement weather, we normally do not close. Any closures in case of emergency will be notified by email or text.
We will not play outside if the temperature is below 32 degrees.
WITHDRAWAL
Withdrawal policy is such that tuition must be paid in full for the month of withdrawal. Should withdrawal occur after the 15th of a month then half of the next month’s tuition shall also be paid.
ILLNESS
Please keep your child home if there is a cloudy/green discharge from the nose,
persistent coughing or sneezing, vomiting, fever, or diarrhea. Children should be fever free for 24 hours prior to returning to school.
ARRIVAL
In keeping with the theme of teaching independence, it is desirable to park on the street or pull your car into the driveway and walk your kiddo to the entrance door so he can enter the classroom independently when ready to do so. Walking him down the steps is fine too, especially at the beginning of the school year.
Please be aware, that if you choose to pull into the driveway others may pull in behind you. Therefore, if you will be in a hurry to leave, please park on the street (going down Washington Ave.) or in front on 8th St. and walk your child to the driveway/entrance door. Please be considerate of others.
Once your child is inside, please call down the steps so that I know he or she has arrived. I will answer and then you know that I am in the classroom.
Please be sure your child is safely inside before leaving the area. DO NOT leave your child standing outside the door.
DEPARTURE
Morning dismissal will take place from the play yard or from the driveway door.
Afternoon dismissal will occur from the steps leading from the front yard onto 8th St. in the afternoon except when inclement weather occurs. Please wait from the bottom of the steps and each child will be dismissed individually.
During inclement weather or an unusually long work period, the children will be
dismissed from inside the driveway/entrance door. If you do not see us in the front at dismissal, come around to the driveway entrance to pick up your child.
Late pick-ups, except in an emergency, will be charged $3.00 p/ half hour
EMERGENCY CONTACTS
Please consistently update your emergency contact information.
Please be sure your phone is on while your child is in school.
If you send someone to pick up your child and his/her name is not on the
emergency contact form, you must notify me by phone or by note otherwise your
child will NOT be released.
